Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Pi Cubed, LLC (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use Screenbase (“the App”). Screenbase is designed around a simple promise: your screenshots stay on your devices. For questions, contacthello@getscreenbase.com.
No account required
Screenbase does not require an account. We do not operate cloud storage containing your screenshot library. Original images remain in Apple Photos on your device. Screenbase stores references and metadata locally.
Information on your device
With your permission, the App reads screenshot assets from your Photos library in order to display, organize, annotate, and search them. Annotations, tags, collections, and other Screenbase metadata are stored on-device. On-device OCR may process visible text inside screenshots to power search. The original screenshot is never modified.
Information we may collect
We may collect information you provide directly (for example, email if you contact support or join a waitlist), and technical data needed to operate the App (for example, device type, app version, and coarse diagnostics if you opt in to crash reporting). We do not sell your personal information.
Photos access
Screenbase requests Photos access so it can discover screenshots automatically. You can revoke that permission in your device settings at any time; the library will not populate without it. Screenbase does not use Photos access to browse or upload your non-screenshot photos.
iCloud metadata (future)
A future version may use iCloud/CloudKit to synchronize Screenbase metadata only — collections, tags, annotations, and similar records — across your devices. Underlying screenshot assets would remain owned by Photos. That feature is not part of the initial release.
Third parties
We may use vendors (for example, hosting, analytics, or email) that process data on our behalf under agreements that require appropriate safeguards. Subscription billing, where applicable, is handled by Apple.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy. Material changes will be highlighted in the App or on this site when practical.
